Tamla Meets Tijuana - The Tequila Brass (1971)

I have quite recently found a few excellent Tijuana albums, so here is the first!

On the classic MFP label, this is a fine collection of classic 60s soul tracks from the great Tamla Motown, given very traditional Tijuana brass arrangements.

I hope you enjoy it and please comment if you do!

  7. Thank you.
A blogger (years ago) kept score on how EMI had recycled their Brass Tijuwannabee tracks -- which LPs they were re-used for, and the different group names they released them under -- they re-issued the same tracks many times in a lot of different ways. I wish I had saved all that info.

  8. Ah yes! I'm a fan of this too. One of those charity shop specials I bought for the cover and loved for the music.
