Harold Smart At The Thomas Organ (1976)

A name I have not heard before, Harold Smart's album is a good demonstration of this organ, with some nice arrangements, and interesting descriptions of the pieces on the rear from the man himself!

I hope you enjoy it and please comment if you do!

Harold Smart was a very busy organist on BBC radio programmes in the 50s and probably later.

  8. Harold Smart was the son of theatre organist Charles Smart. Harold also started his career playing theatre organs but then moved to the Hamond which became his instrument of choice for many years. He was a frequent broadcaster on BBC radio and his hands were seen each week on TV in the popular TV quiz show 'Take your Pick' He was a brilliant musician with a modern playing style and creative approach.
