Moog Party Time (1973)

Fairly standard but very listenable album of moog covers.

My highlights are the fine versions of Popcorn, Song Sung Blue, and Son Of My Father, with What's Your Name and Horse Theme being very good, too.

I hope you enjoy it and please comment if you do!

  8. Thanks, this is a very pleasant listen and a large cut above the usual "Moog novelty records" of the time. Analog synth FTW! I have only just started digging to see who programmed/performed this music - apparently it's a mystery.

  11. I just ripped this last night from vinyl. Sounded amazing compared to my 80's/90's stuff in terms of the quality and production values. The album belonged to my Dad, who, like me is a synth fan; I'm 39 and I have inherited the album after him noticing I loved it more than he did! I'm going to upload to YouTube shortly

  13. Great find. The track "Listening to Mozart" was arranged by Daniel Vanguard aka Thomas Bengaltar's father.. Thomas of Daft Punk :)

J Dilla sampled it on his demo "And I Wanna Escape w/ Nico"
