Out Of The Box (Medley) - The Wright Orchestra (1981)

Rather nice medley of classic UK & US 70's & 80's TV themes, obviously made to cash in on the 1981 craze for medleys, Stars On 45, Back To The 60's, Hooked On Classics being more successful than this, however.

The B side is a storming disco funk track, also well worth hearing, too

I hope you enjoy it and please comment if you do!

Big TV Themes - Geoff Love & His Orchestra (1984)

#REPOST#

An 80s compilation of some of the best UK and US TV themes of the 70s and 80s, featuring some tracks taken from his previous theme and instrumental albums with at least five tracks specially recorded for this album.

The new tracks being themes from Dynasty, Reilly Ace Of Spies, Hill Street Blues, The Winds Of War, and The Thorn Birds, they blend nicely with the previously recorded tracks, some, such as Chi Mai, Dallas, Eye Level, Coronation Street and Brideshead Revisited appearing on a Geoff Love themes album for the first time.

A must for any lover of TV theme music, and orchestral music of the 70s and 80s in general, I think it contains the last new recordings from Geoff Love (if anybody knows otherwise please let me know).

I hope you enjoy it and please comment if you do!

Say It With Music - The Wally Mackenzie Orchestra

A must for those who enjoy big band or ballroom dancing music, this is a very enjoyable album from a band which I understand were very popular locally to where i live in East Manchester.

The arrangements are traditional but with energy, and very well recorded for a release which was clearly designed to be sold at the concerts and dances themselves.

I hope you enjoy it and please comment, leaving your name, if you do!

Top T.V. Themes - Various Artists [1969]

Here is a very nice compilation of 10 classic 60s TV themes, in super stereo sound!

I already had this LP in its much more common mono version, but I was very pleased to find this one in a local charity shop as I find stereo sound gives the listener much more satisfaction.

Many of the themes featured here are also featured on many modern theme compilations, usually from Castle Music, but this album features rare stereo versions of Tony Hatch's themes from Crossroads and The Champions, tracks which are always featured in mono on such compilations.

I hope you enjoy it and please comment if you do!

Screen Action / Crime Busters - The Power Pack Orchestra [1986]

Here, especially for darnall42, is a fantastic collection of 35 great 80s TV and film [but mostly TV] themes played by the Power Pack ''Orchestra'', mostly synth and drum machine again, but it must be said that it is very of its time.

There are 25 tracks on the original CD ''Screen Action'', but I also have an LP called ''Crime Busters'', which also contains some of the tracks from ''Screen Action'', so I have added the tracks that were not featured on that to this download.

Highlights aplenty, but I can't quite believe the way they did the ''Hart To Hart'' theme!

I hope you enjoy it and please leave a comment!

I ripped this CD some time ago, and cannot find it at the moment to scan the covers from it, so I'm afraid this will have to do for now!

I'll be back soon with more classic Easy from the 60s and 70s!

Top T.V. Themes - The Pandora Orchestra [1972]

This is a great collection of early 70s UK TV themes, and unusually, are the original versions!

From the classic sitcoms Please Sir, On The Buses, Doctor At Large, and The Fenn Street Gang, and the classic dramas Upstairs Downstairs, New Scotland Yard, The Onedin Line, and Catweazle, with a storming track from The Big Match called Cheekybird!

I hope you enjoy it!
